I have been progamming in one way or another since 1995. I learned programming back in the mid 80’s in Junior High on my trusy Apple ][e. I ran a BBS for a few years back then too. In high school, programming took a backseat along with just about everything else. After a brief stint running my own Jet Ski shop and race team, I began working full time at my dad’s company, Valor. As the internet began to get popular, I began writing websites for Valor. I wrote a few more early on, some even for paying customers. In the late 90’s we put up www.valorcorp.com and had one of the first B2B ecommerce websites in our industry. I have built other websites for some of Valor’s customers.
After using our NCR unix system, I began writing Valor’s Intranet. By the year 2000, Valor was running on a fully custom web based system before many people knew what a web based app was. We still use it to this day. I am constantly updating and adding features. My next big thing is to make this app available to other companies for use. If you want a demo, contact me.
On a personal level, I have a wonderful wife who puts up with me on a computer, cell phone and/or lap top alomost 24/7, 3 incredible kids who are already showing interest in computers and programming. I live in South Florida, but really would like a change. I love visiting North Carolina and would really enjoy living there soon.
